The show opened today... Wow! Pictures can't do this event justice. I can't capture the immense amount of acitivty and planes with a camera. Heck, I didn't even have enough time to capture 1/10th of it myself today. I'm glad I will be here all week.
Today I hit up some Forums on Plane Ownership (Time to buy a plane!), learned how to hand prop a plane (This could come in handy), Went to a very cool talk given by one of the Blackburd SR-71 Pilots, walked around for at least 10 miles around airplanes, displays by aviation companies, etc. This afternoon was also a great airshow (There is one everyday) and then this evening a concert by the Beach Boys. After all of that I headed over to the Ultralight area and got a ultralight airshow and a neat demo of powered parachutes.
It was an awesome day.... But tonight I went to upload the pictures and the laptop battery was dead. Our solar panel came unconnected today and didn't charge things up. Now, Mike and I went scavaging for an electric plug and are sitting along the side of a road plugged into a telephone pole! It is a good thing we are like Mcguyver.
